Musical Routes is an exciting new mechanism to enable young people to identify and access music provision in London. It will support them in trying new skills and progressing from one activity to another.

The information that you provide us will feed an online search engine. Young people will use this to find out about music activities in particular geographical areas or genres, or to contact providers they know about.

Musical Routes is a unique and specialised music service with information about types and styles of music you offer and has been designed specifically for young people. They will be encouraged to use the resource through the support of teachers, youth workers and advisors.

By spending only a few moments you can be part of Musical Routes, which for the time being is FREE. Even if all your courses and workshops are fully booked, sign up to take advantage of being part of this trailblazing project that will contribute to mapping music education provision in London, influence decision makers and, in time, provide key results about young peoples’ needs and gaps in the current provision.

Musical Routes is managed by Sound Connections and initial funding came from Musical Futures (a Paul Hamlyn special project), Youth Music Action Zone and Arts Council England Grants for the arts scheme.

By registering with Musical Routes you also become a member of Sound Connections and can take advantage of the information, support, training and potential to become involved in other projects and opportunities we share regularly to our membership. In turn Sound Connections advocates on behalf of its membership to raise awareness of the importance of work being done by members.

The registration form will only take you about 10-15 minutes to complete.

Complete the form by answering all questions and providing additional information where asked. Individuals must answer YES to questions 2-5 and Organisations must answer YES to questions 2-6 to be eligible to join Musical Routes.

Once you have chosen your password and submitted the form your information is then checked by Sound Connections. If the form is accepted it will be uploaded onto the website. If your form is rejected we will email to explain why and suggest ways to resolve any issues.

You are able to update your information whenever you like by logging on with your password. So if you have a fully subscribed course, or have new workshops to add, then log on to amend your details. Sound Connections will also remind you to periodically maintain your information.
